In 1955 NasonMoretti won the Compasso d’oro Award, with an idea of Umberto Nason, who, with a tremendous intuition, decided to apply the technique of the inverted overlaid glass (coloured on the inside and milk-white on the outside) to basic, almost Scandinavia-inspired shapes, in a period in which the production of Murano was characterized by baroque shapes. The Lidia collection is still the expression of modernity and neat style.
